Police In North Castle Investigate Alcohol Drinking Jeep Driver

Police in North Castle were called to investigate a suspicious man who was spotted drinking in his car in a parking lot before driving off.

Officers from the North Castle Police Department were dispatched to the Stop & Shop parking lot on North Broadway at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, when a caller reported a suspicious man drinking alcohol in his Jeep.

Police said that the caller reported that the driver was in a green Jeep drinking alcohol, and offered him a “drink or smoke,” which the caller declined. After being rebuffed, the man then drove out of the parking lot and made a right onto Reservoir Road.

Officers responded to the scene to investigate, but could not track down the driver. The situation concluded without further incident.
